1. Service Description

textbooks.ai is an AI-powered textbook study guide generator. Users upload PDF textbooks and the service generates chapter summaries, key concepts, flashcards, and practice quizzes to aid studying. By using our service, you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. One account per person; creating multiple accounts to abuse free-tier limits is prohibited.

3. Billing & Payments

textbooks.ai offers the following plans:

  • Free: Process one textbook at no cost on signup.
  • Monthly / Annual subscription: Unlimited books for a recurring fee. Subscriptions auto-renew and can be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.
  • Single book purchase: One-time $4.99 payment to process one additional book.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis; contact support if a processing error occurs.

4. Content & Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the textbooks and other content you upload. You must have the legal right to upload any PDF you submit for processing. AI-generated study materials (summaries, flashcards, concepts, quizzes) are derivative study aids provided for your personal educational use.

You agree not to upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others. We are not responsible for verifying the copyright status of uploaded materials.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use textbooks.ai to process content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or abuse the service. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this policy.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. AI processing times may vary. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

textbooks.ai is provided "as is" without warranties. AI-generated study materials may contain inaccuracies and should not be used as a sole source of information. Our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

8. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
